The polymath pianist, DJ, live remixer, composer and producer has been hosting his party in Los Angeles, New York and further afield for nine years pushing the limits of what music lovers have come to expect from both jazz and DJ culture. Touted by Okayplayer as “an underground phenom”, de Clive-Lowe seamlessly blurs the lines between genres as he creates and remixes live on stage with mind-boggling deftness. “If Duke Ellington had been a DJ, this might be what he would have done,” muses the LA Weekly and they’re not far wrong. De Clive-Lowe has remixed the legendary Blue Note Records catalog, collaborated with the likes of Kamasi Washington, DJ Spinna and hip hop-funk progenitor Harvey Mason.
